I’m awake, and HGTV is already on the TV. Welcome to another Saturday, my friends.

Yesterday, Mom needed to have some blood drawn for her yearly labs. She asked if I wanted to drive her and I told her to just take the truck and I’d play outside. I handed her the keys and grabbed my poi and earbuds for the first time in about a week.

I’m sore. From poi. That hasn’t happened in a long time.

But it was great. I felt good.

Then, I dragged the paints out. In the six months I’ve been here, I’ve learned to take advantage of the sunshine while it’s there, before the late afternoon rain inevitably comes through. I finished one of the two I was working on.

The second painting isn’t quite finished, and I’m not 100% sure I’ll ever be totally satisfied with it. Such is the nature of shit like art.

The forecast for today is more of the same. I’ll assume a human form. We’ll go out to Walmart for the weekly shopping. Mom wants to do some yard work. I probably won’t do anything more involved than popping my earbuds in again and entering a flow state.
