La de frickin da

Dear Diary,

It’s Saturday, and I’m bored.  Mind you, I’m only bored because I’m avoiding doing chores.

I called my mother and wished her a happy birthday, then gave in and allowed a video call via Duo, which I spent half of using an astronaut filter.  I went out and shopped for another two weeks of food, sticking to the shopping list and only buying one off-list item.

Shawshank called last night.  He was in a good mood, and that cheered me up a lot.  I gave him the options his caseworker said were available.  He agreed it doesn’t make sense to make any decisions until she answers my questions first.  However, I didn’t discuss the possibility that he might be unable to sponsor me.  Honestly, I don’t want to give him that info at the end of a day and have it weighing on his mind all night.  Plus, he sounded really good.  I know he can usually call twice on weekends when he has later lock-in.  I’ll do it then, because I’d rather he have the chance to call me again after a few hours.

Aside from doing the shopping, I’ve done the dishes, swept the kitchen, and (mostly) cleared the dining room table.

Tonight is my regularly scheduled #selfcaresaturday.  I’m not 100% certain what my plan will be.  I’m having burgers for dinner, and then I’ll retreat to the tub for an hour or so.

Tomorrow, more chores.  Mom said she might be coming up to help my pregnant sister who’s almost being put on bed rest, and will need to quarantine at my house for a couple of weeks. Someone might come over to buy my set of little chairs. It would be awesome to get them out of the fucking dining room.
