Good morning, y’all. We’ve got ourselves a mostly gray morning, but the forecast is calling for sunshine and a bit of warmth. Unlike most of the weather forecasts up north, where the forecasts mean nothing, our local reports are a little more reliable. Unless we’re talking about yesterday, which was supposed to be mostly sunny with a passing shower, and ended up being shitty and gray all day.

And that’s pretty much what the last couple of days could be described like. Gray and shitty.

I’m trying to be better. I know it doesn’t seem like it, but I really am.

I took a bit to get to sleep last night. I was watching diorama builds again. Once the sleepytime cocktail set in, I switched to music. I fell asleep listening to the music of Skyrim. Three hours later, I woke up a few songs into the Baldur’s Gate soundtrack. The only thing that could have made it better would have been headphones or earbuds that are comfortable to sleep with. Also, not waking up at 3:30 and 5:30.

Brian slept in this morning, and Chaucer was very upset about it. Mom said the cat came into their bedroom at about 3am and started performing his latest operatic masterpiece. He gave an encore performance a couple of hours later.

We did the grocery shopping and went out for dinner last night. I’ve “behaved myself” the last two times we’ve gone to the buffet. All this means is that I didn’t make an improvised sundae out of the dessert and salad bars. I ate a bunch of sushi, had a wonton soup, and a few bits of boneless chicken. And fortune cookies, because it’s a requirement.

I don’t plan to do anything today. Since we did the shopping yesterday, I don’t expect to go out. I have birthday cash from Mom and Brian, which I’m just going to stash in my purse and probably forget about. Otherwise, I’m ignoring the birthday. Unfortunately, I still need to clean up my bathroom before we have company over tomorrow.

Oh well. Pants.
