Good morning, world. The Friday has arrived. And it’s sunny- PROPER SUNNY. Alas, I was awake before we’d reached the PROPER SUNNY stage. I did my normal, performative attempts to go back to sleep before I checked the time. Sadly, I was a bit too warm this morning, probably because I didn’t turn the heat off on my side of the bed.
I had another productive afternoon. Most importantly, I finished the “commissioned” fleecy pants. I’ve gotten them through Stage 2, and I’ll install the elastic this morning. They turned out very nice, and now I wish I had some fleece of my own. I’ve brought out the rammy-jammies at least twice recently. It’s only a matter of time before the weather really turns on us.
Yesterday, I had an epiphany. I was in the middle of finishing the pants, and remembered I hadn’t finished uploading everything to the smutbank. Until this last “shoot”, I uploaded everything at once, and post batches based on my subscription tiers. This time, however, I opted to only post 2-3 pics with each post, and here’s my logic.
- The appearance of content – Scheduling a month of smaller posts instead of one or two big posts makes it look like I’ve got more content than reality. I feel like that looks better from a customer perspective.
- More promo opportunities – unlike Onlyfans, Fansly has the ability to scroll through a Instagram/TikTok-like “for you page”, with the algorithm displaying censored preview pics. If I split pics into smaller batches, I’ve got a better chance of getting my ass in front of people.
- Money – Previously, I charged about $10 for a batch of 10+ pics if people weren’t already subscribed monthly. Now, I upload multiple smaller batches for $2-4. In my own experience, I’m much more likely to spend $2 on a game I’ll forget about after a few hours. I imagine porn isn’t that much different.
While scheduling all the posts this week, I had only implemented the first two changes. I figured I might gain monthly subscribers if I’m not offering the larger PPV packages. Then, in the middle of fighting with fabric and remembering the unfinished uploads, I realized the third point:
There’s no reason not to charge for them.
Additionally, why shouldn’t I charge? More posts means more opportunities for payment, and I don’t feel like that needs an explanation. Between the three changes, I think I might see some positive movement in my stats. I’ve already seen improvement in my reach. I’ll probably implement a similar method over on Onlyfans. While there’s no “FYP”, there’s still money.
Today, I’ve got some fleece pants to work on. There’s another pair in the middle of Stage 2, and I expect to finish both at some point this afternoon. Once Shawshank comes home from work, we’ll go out for dinner and start our weekend. I need help Shawshank find his Lydia again.
