nothing but tuesday

Good morning, world. Today is Wednesday, and it’s already sunny outside. I woke up around 5am, which is totally normal and still absolute bullshit. I was at the bottom of a cuddle puddle that also included Shawshank and Chaucer.

We had a nice Tuesday. Shawshank came home at noon with two packs of ramen for lunch. We stuffed ourselves with spicy noodles in peanut sauce. After lunch, we cleaned out the closet and some of my clothes heap. We ended up with a couple of bags of things to donate. Later in the afternoon, we went out to Shady Acres to help load more donations into the truck for Shawshank‘s mom. Then, we all went up to the secondhand shop, both trucks packed up. Shawshank unloaded the trucks while I looked through the stuff in the shop. He picked up another book to add to his collection. I ended up with two more curtain panels. They’re very sheer, and will hopefully make some very sexy pants.

I finished a couple of pairs of pants over the course of the day. One of them turned out really pretty, but the second pair needs a better elastic in the waist. I might actually swap those for the other “leggy” pair I made a couple of weeks ago. The legs are so much more full than the first pair, and I love that. Unfortunately, the fabric I used for the second hair is a bit heavier than the current elastic can support, and my order of good elastic won’t be here until next week. If I wanted to put a positive spin on shit, this hiccup just means I get a week to slowly and neatly pick the seam apart.

Shawshank took a pic while I was working on one pair and sent it to our regular waitress friend, probably with a note about turning the house into a sweatshop. Both her and the restaurant’s owner will be in the restaurant on Friday evening to look through my “stock”. I’m a little nervous, to be honest. I’m shit about pricing any of my goods, and I’m always underestimating what I can charge for them. Additionally, I acknowledge that my goblin pants are fucking weird. While Shawshank says I look fine, I worry that everyone else will look ridiculous in the same things.

He’s back at work this morning, a full shift today. I’m going to take a shower and slather my head in conditioner, then put on the human suit. The sunny weather is back, and I’d like to enjoy some spin time.
