Replaceable

Replaceable

I didn’t know what day it was when I woke up this morning. Every morning is just another day and they all bleed into one another these days. It’s Tuesday.

Yesterday’s storm wasn’t too bad in my area. It was a crazy storm, with a lot of wind and snow. Accumulation totals vary widely across the area, but I’m in one of the luckier areas with lower snow totals. I split the day between crafting and cleaning. My goal was to clean out under the kitchen sink, which I did. I’m leaving a lot of the stuff, partially out of guilt for the sad state of the house this poor woman is buying. However, we used to buy our cleaning supplies in bulk. A lot of them are almost full, and I can’t see tossing them.

I also made a mock up of how to pack the truck. The good news is that what I have packed and in the house should fit. The bad news is, there’s still things that aren’t packed, and stuff in the truck already. Shawshank told me to remember almost all that stuff is replaceable. I’ll dedicate some time this afternoon to pull out the easily replaceable things.

I finally finished the larger wreath I started last week.

Yes, I know they’re both males. It’s 2021. Love knows no boundaries.

📖 Book: The Volume Library, 1944, primarily chapters on English grammar and literature, including nursery rhymes and classic children’s stories.
📏 Size: 18″ across
📃 Pages: 325 rolled paper roses

I initially wanted to have more cardinals, I really liked the way it turned out with just the two small birds on the big wreath. The pages of the book are big enough to cut two roses from each, which was nice. Plus, the paper is much nicer to roll than the previous wreath.

This morning looks like yesterday, but it’s not snowing. Unfortunately, the wind is still pretty gusty out there. At least the air temperature is above freezing. If the wind ever dies down, I’ll go out and shovel the steps and dig out the truck.

I was supposed to have the fire inspection this morning. Obviously, the storm has forced us to reschedule for next week. That’s good, because it will allow us to actually install the proper smoke detectors this week. The junk hauler never came for the Subaru. I assume there was more money to be made in tows than junk vehicles. Not much else on today’s agenda. I’ll do a workout, then handle the replaceable shit.
