Puffy Ornamental Clouds

Puffy Ornamental Clouds

It’s a beautiful morning, sunny with puffy, ornamental clouds, as the weatherwoman said. I’ve just loaded up a second mug of coffee.

We didn’t get the expected heavy rains, I think the storm system went farther north than they originally forecast. There was some, but nowhere near as bad as other areas got. It was very muggy overnight, however. It’s the time of year for me to make a decision about which blankets to keep on the bed. I really, really wish I could have a yard sale today. Maybe in a couple of weeks, but not today. Rhode Island is only in the first phase of reopening, and yet people are acting like a busload of 8 year olds hyped up on PCP and Pixie Stix swarming a Chuck E. Cheese’s. I think I’ll wait a little while, maybe see if the second wave of the zombie apocalypse starts up.

I’ve got a workout planned for this morning, probably a combination of a YouTube workout and a homebrew tabata. I think it will make me feel better. The only other weekend plans involve a load of laundry, a sink of dishes, and a bunch of giant trash bags. I need to clean the bathroom. I would love to finish the fucking Pink Room today. It’s the worst room in the house, I think, and cleaning it – to completion – would be an amazing accomplishment.

In addition to all that, there’s some other stuff I want to get working on. I need to empty and clean out the kitchen cabinets, which means making a decision about plates. Sell them on Facebook, or hold on to them for the potential-maybe-future yard sale?

Either way shit’s gotta go. I need to GET SHIT DONE.

I also need to fix my vacuum cleaner, but that’s another project entirely.

However, it’s also #selfcaresaturday, which means a bubble bath and whatever Amazon show I feel like watching in the tub. Today’s dinner was supposed to be omelet wraps, but I don’t really have anything to put in the wrap with the eggs. I have an extra sweet potato for the week, so I could have a breakfast bowl. I also have a lot of blank bean soup left, and tomato sauce. Maybe I’ll make a tasty shakshuka with the leftover meatballs for a bit more substance than just tomato and egg. Who knows? I’d decide later.

I’ve got nothing but time right now.
