Oh, look, sunshine. Maybe the last of the snow will melt. Maybe it won’t snow for another six months. That’d be nice.
I made Friday my sweatshop, and worked on pants pretty much all day. I started off the day on the floor, going through “scrap” and looking for coordinating pieces to use for cuffs and waistbands. After about an hour, I’d sorted and cut enough for another three pairs of pants. This brought me back to the sewing machine, where I sewed those into loops, as well as closing up the waist on another pair. Back to the floor, to pin the assorted loops onto the pants, then sewing them. I have three “finished” pairs, and a handful in various states of not-quite.
And I had it all cleaned up and put away before Shawshank came home from work in the afternoon.
We’re going shopping today. Shawshank‘s mom had shopping plans as well, so we’re hitching a ride with her. Then we’ll come back home and enjoy our 420 weekend.
