Greetings, from hazy, hot, and humid Saskatchewan. We’re picking up the northern edges of the heat dome over most of the US, and the weather here has been fucking glorious. Unfortunately, I had another early morning. Eventually, I got up to use the bathroom, turning the coffee pot on and petting Pippin before going back to bed.
I continued the slothiness yesterday. I sewed up a couple of pairs of pants, but haven’t put the elastic in yet. My main project for today is photos. I have at least two finished pairs that need pictures, so that is the biggest task on my to-do list for today. If I don’t do it today, I know I’ll spend that time making other pants, and that will just force me to take an even bigger batch of pics.
We went to the secondhand shop yesterday. I found a bathing suit top and some cutoff shorts. Both could be perfect for a white trash photo shoot of a very different nature. Shawshank picked out some coverall shorts for me as well. Last week, he told me I can’t buy any sheets until I empty out the tote bag a bit more. I wasn’t even planning to look at the bedding until he came over with three bags for me. I stuck to the rule, and left it all there. A good chunk of that tote is taken up by a pair of big white tablecloths I want to tie-dye. However, I refuse to buy a tie-dye kit until some of the existing stock sells.
At the end of the night, we hauled a bunch of gear down to the road to try a burn. It went ok- better than my last attempt (10 seconds from lighting them to tangling and tossing them), that’s for sure. I feel like I’m getting more nervous each time I spin them. Fuck, that’s not the way it’s supposed to work.
Shawshank is working the whole day. I’ll have plenty of time to do all the things I need to do before he comes home. Starting with a shower.
