Every single computer based learning I had to take over the 15 years of my retail pharmacy career has me utterly and completely prepared for any situation. Fire? Get me an extinguisher, I know about the PASS method. Fraud, waste, and abuse? IT’S BAD. Paying the IRS with iTunes gift cards? NOT A THING. Sexual harassment? He’s a Latin lover, that’s just how he is. Company scandal and the media is in the store? Refer them to legal. Patient shoplifting? Approach them and ask, are you sure you want to do that?1 Mass shooter upset the addies are still on backorder? Hide.
Good morning, world. Looks like sunshine’s back on the menu. I’ll take it while we can. Podrick was a very good boy this morning, and actually slept between us for almost an hour this morning. I was up a few times, usually when Shawshank got up.
Last night’s shift was ok. I streamed for a couple of hours, took a quick dinner break, then went back to work for a few more. The dudes were typical. My “shift” seems to straddle the evening commute in the US and late night across the pond, and I’m trying to stay online later before it’s better traffic for me. I’m pretty sure my awkward international harem now includes a German guy. I’ve made a list of commands, commands, and encouragement in different languages, and I am absolutely going to screw them up. It’s going to be great.
I logged off an hour before Shawshank‘s shift ended, giving me plenty of time to reset the bedroom before he came home. There was even enough time for me to hop in the shower.
Two more nights. Halloween’s almost here, maybe I should start dressing up a little or something.
