If video killed the radio star, then Monday killed the weekend.

I did it. I packed the truck.

That’s not entirely true. It’s not completely packed, obviously. I stuffed any clean clothes into the footlocker, jammed a fur coat in there for good measure, and locked it up. Most of my weights are already outside, so workouts will be limited after today’s. One of the big pieces of art is outside, and the second will be the last to go into the truck because it’s huge and I want it to lay flat.

I don’t want to bring out the things that aren’t in there right just yet. The clothes that aren’t packed will only fill a tote bag or two. I have to keep space to cat supplies and the family silver. My meager remaining craft supplies aren’t loaded just yet, since they’re not a priority. Aside from a minor snafu involving some measurements (easily remedied), things fit pretty much as expected. In regards to packing and loading, I think I’m pretty good shape for the moment. I may load a few more things this afternoon. Otherwise, everything looks to be in good shape for a Wednesday or Thursday departure.

The new phone is set up and working fine. The size is something I’ll need to adjust to. It’s not a HUGE difference compared to my Samsung, but it’s noticeably easier to slip into my pocket. The cases I picked up aren’t bad. I slipped the metal disk half of my magnetic dash clip between the two parts of the case and it works fine. Unfortunately, I’ll need to find a new holder for my ID and debit cards.

Today… I’ll do a workout of some sort before I put the remaining weights outside. Then I’ll start with the last of the stuff that will be trashed on Wednesday. I won’t bring it all outside, otherwise I won’t have the space to actually load the truck. However, I’ll at least put it in one central area for easy disposal.

I’m sure I’ll hear from our agent by the end of the day. This is good, so I can discuss my departure date. I’d like to leave as early as possible on Wednesday morning, so I can get through NYC. My first stop is in Virginia, I believe. Send some good vibes that Shawshank receives the paperwork today and can drive halfway across the province to bring it to FedEx for this afternoon.
