A Slow Weekend

Morning, folks. It’s finally Saturday. We can relax a little. I figure I’ll know if I need to put a bra on by 8:55am, when StressedRPh calls and asks me to cover for NewTech. That gives me about 30 minutes to type something up.

I got myself a coffee and a muffin yesterday morning while I waited for the people to look through the house. Since it was a daytime showing, they didn’t leave every single light on like some of the others have done. I’m pretty sure Chaucer just sits in his crate, doesn’t move, and pretends to be a plant. I don’t know where Mal hides. He’s never out when I come back after a showing. It didn’t take him as long to come back out when they left yesterday. He might not like the people, but he at least knows he doesn’t need to hide for hours after they leave.

Unfortunately, this was at least the third time I’ve come home to an unlocked door after a showing. I think the agents coming through don’t want to make the effort to open the lockbox a second time to lock the deadbolt. Our agent said this was absolutely unacceptable and she’ll update the notes in our file. On the plus side, agents coming through can leave feedback, and so far they think the house is fairly priced.

There’s two more showings this morning, back to back. I’ll go grocery shopping for an hour. I don’t have too much to buy. There’s a beauty supply place next door, I’ll see what they have for dye this week.

Yesterday’s shift was smooth, as expected. It’s Monday that will be terrible for us. I will be so happy when I’m out of there. I know it will probably be months before we see a Covid vaccine come through the pharmacy. However, I know the shit will hit the fan as soon as one is approved. Massachusetts just announced they’re going to allow techs to immunize. I don’t want to be anywhere near a pharmacy when that shit comes through.

It’s currently 9:02am. I guess I’m not going into work. I’m ok with that. Since the house is pretty fucking clean, I don’t have to run around and stress about it all weekend. I might actually do a project this weekend. Or nap.

OR BOTH.

Because I can.

A nap sounds good. I might actually try to read a little this afternoon.
