The eternal debate between Chinese takeout and Buffalo chicken

FRIDAY: thank the gods, it’s finally arrived.

Yesterday’s shift was pretty busy. When I punched in, StressedRPh asked if I wanted the bad news first, or the news I “might not care about”. I asked for the shit I wouldn’t care about, and she gave me my annual review. DayTech said she looked at hers and tossed it in the trash. I said I wanted to stick it on the fridge, where anyone viewing the house could see how perfectly average I am.

As for the bad news, NewTech called in the morning and said she couldn’t come in for her Saturday due to a family emergency. StressedRPh asked her if that meant she wasn’t coming in for the Friday night shift she offered to cover for DayTech. Oh, surprise, she forgot about that shift, and the family emergency screwed that shift as well.

I think StressedRPh wanted me to see the Saturday shift as a bad thing. Honestly, I could not care less about a Saturday shift, especially since I’ve got enough notice to be there on time. Today will probably be rough, but it’s me and the new guy for the first half of the day. He’s perfectly content to step up and help out. StressedRPh will be in for the second half of the day, and will only be alone for two hours. The forecast is for heavy rains all Saturday, so the day might not be too awful.

Our agent emailed me and Shawshank an update yesterday. It was just to touch base. She’s had a couple of inquiries about some things, and while nothing has panned out, she’s working on things. Feedback from yesterday’s showing said they think the price is too high. We have another showing this afternoon. I hope someone wants it soon.

On a positive note, I can wear jeans to work today and tomorrow. What will I have for dinner? Do I do Chinese takeout, or the usual?

You have to come at it from all angles. You can order chickywraps via the interweb, it’s easy. Chinese, you have to talk to someone. Eew. MSG vs Buffalo flavour. That’s a whole different conversation.

I vote for Chinese food 🙂
