Good morning, world. The sun is blazing, and so am I. I’m sorry. This post will probably be a disjointed mess. But hey, there’s coffee.
Yesterday’s thunder was all hat and no cattle. We had a little bit of rain, but for the most part we could probably classify things as an aggressive drizzle. Not that the weather mattered, because the heat index would have probably kept us indoors anyway.
And if the heat index didn’t, watching Mom while she watches Stranger Things for the first time is worth staying inside. A year ago, she insisted she wouldn’t like it, she doesn’t “like those things anymore”. Yesterday we watched episodes 6-8 of the second season. At several points I caught her literally sitting at the edge of her seat.
The weather cleared up enough for me to go outside for spin time. I debated whether or not I wanted to go out; I would have to change clothes, and I didn’t know if it would be too muggy to play. However, I’m glad I made the effort. I had a buzz and a playlist filled with hits from the ladies of the 80’s. I remember looking up for a moment and watching the stars while I was spinning.
That was nice.
I think I’ll go out at lunchtime and run some quick errands. I need to go to the smoke shop, and maybe I’ll go to the post office and grab some stuff to make steak sandwiches for dinner.
Mmm steak sandwiches! Good call!
