A Moist Friday

Hello, Friday! Hello, Weekend! Hello, people!

It’s a good day. It’s Friday, which is automatically a good thing. I’ve got coffee, and a workout ready to go as soon as I hit the POST button. Once again, it’s terribly warm and humid, and I expect things will get …. moist.

Moist. MOIST MOIST MOIST

Shawshank‘s iPhone is museum quality. If it were a person, I imagine it would sit in a rocking chair, on a porch, and shout at the newer iPhones to stay off its lawn. Between the nonexistent wifi connection or decent data speeds, he’s stuck in 2013. Most apps won’t run; however, he can load up some music on it. He asked me for music suggestions for his morning runs. I’ll have to do more searching for the podcast I used to use. In the meantime, I sent him a link to my absolute favorite running album, Uptime from The Kleptones*. I don’t know how many miles I’ve run to that album. Now, it’s a staple in my poi playlist, as well as my workouts.

“It was over 300 mb to download, it took me 10-15 mins to download it,” he told me yesterday morning. Remember when 300 mb was a big download?

We’ve got tropical storm Faye off to our south, which can be expected to drop a load of rain on us today and overnight. If the thunderstorms start early enough, we might have a slower shift in the pharmacy. There’s a chance we might see one of the Trifecta from Hell (eventually I’ll share stories about them), unfortunately, but he almost never picks up his order on time so it’s a slim chance. I may be able to work on some of the pointless training modules they assigned us at work.

Tonight should be my #fryyay, and I’ll order dinner while I’m at work. It worked out well last week. Previously, I would set the delivery for around 7:30pm, which gave me time to do a workout or shop after I left work. Now, I set the delivery to show up about 15 minutes later than I used to before my schedule changed, just in case I leave work late for whatever reason. I can come home, change into something comfy, and have a deliciously bad-for-me dinner.

I don’t expect to have much to do over the weekend, so the rain shouldn’t be an issue. Everything that I absolutely have to do is inside the house – the regular chores, and maybe a Sunday workout. I still have a lot of items to put up for sale, and there’s still some things to deal with in the Pink Room.

Right now, it’s workout time. I threw on the workout clothes as soon as I came downstairs, while the coffee brewed. If all goes well, I’ll be back downstairs and showered before Shawshank even wakes up.

*Bonus shoutout for A Night at the Hip-Hopera, which I also adore.
