The cats are merping

Good morning, friend. Happy Sunday. Happy birthday to Brian, who is currently ripping through some Apple watch packaging like a kid on Christmas morning.

Yesterday wasn’t that bad. Mom and I went to Walmart in the morning, and bought all the stuff needed for tonight’s lasagna dinner. I didn’t buy anything unnecessary. We had some pretty heavy rains, but things cleared up after dinner. I got some spin time. The real storms started up while Shawshank and I had our nightly video chat. Unfortunately, the thunder scared the cats and they both went into hiding, so I fell asleep alone.

This morning, once I take the time to put some clothes on and all that stuff, I’m going to clean out a couple of boxes. I picked up a box at Walmart yesterday. It’s much bigger than I need to send some flip-flops to Shawshank, specifically because I want to send up what I can. My optimal goal is to have EVERYTHING that I drive up fit in either the footlocker or the treasure chest. I think there’s a good chance I can. There might be an extra small plastic tote.

Unfortunately, things are sucking mentally for me. This isn’t a good time of year for me. Photos pop up as memories, and something will make me remember what happened this week five years ago. This week, it’s the happy memories that pop up with the potential to trigger unhappy memories. Next week, it’s photos of things and events from the year I spent dissociating.

This afternoon, Brian’s family is coming over for dinner. I need to clean the bathroom and put more toilet paper in there. My body is sore, and thankfully nothing on today’s agenda will force me to do anything more strenuous than a game controller.

Enjoy the day, everyone.
