Good morning, happy Wednesday. It’s yet another day in paradise.
That was sarcasm.
We went out and Mom got a haircut yesterday. She seems happy enough about it, even if it’s much shorter than she’s ever had in the past. Unfortunately, it was chilly in the salon, and there were a lot of people in there. I think we waited about 45 minutes before she actually got in a chair. The place was in the same plaza as a Vietnamese place called “Pho Ever”. If I had know it was there and Mom planned to get her hair cut, I wouldn’t have eaten lunch. All I want now is a bowl of it. And some rice.
And something spicy that will burn my mouth.
Mom says maybe we’ll go out for dinner. She’s still hoping to find a fried rice similar to what we have up north.
Chaucer is driving everyone nuts. After we’ve all gone into our bedrooms, he walks the house, yowling. He’s done it for YEARS. It’s like he realizes we’re not with him, can’t find us, and is confused. The difference now is he’s not on an entirely different floor. He’s only in the kitchen or the living room, right on the other side of our walls.
Unfortunately, I can’t very well call call for him at midnight without walking everyone up. Instead, I have to crawl out of the world’s noisiest bed, go find him, and hope he’ll follow me back into my room and sleep.
And I’m case anyone was curious, DayTech and StressedRPh survived their Monday shift without quitting. However, DayTech did go home and drink a bottle of some sort of pomegranate booze. I understand that feeling.
