quite clear, no doubt, somehow

We’re continuing with the gray theme lately, and it’s yet another cold, overcast day. For a short time, it snowed.

I’ve yet to turn off the alarms set to wake me up in the morning. I worry that if I don’t continue with some sort of routine I’ll end up with a problem where I don’t know what I want to do. Then I’ll overwhelm myself with options and end up doing nothing. I chatted with Shawshank when I finally got out of bed. Once he went to work, I headed upstairs and worked out for an hour.

Aside from a bit of a rough time at the beginning of my workout, it’s been a mostly good day.

We had a hiccup with the plumber’s visit yesterday. Our agent texted half an hour before the appointment to let me know the plumber hadn’t confirmed the time yet. A couple of hours later, she asked if an afternoon time slot would work out. Sure. I’m dressed and decent. The hiccup? I expected a plumber, but ended up with a party. I ended up with a two-man plumbing/handyman crew, the buyer, and her agent.

But, surprise gathering aside, I talked with the buyer’s agent. She assured me they’re working very hard to sell the house because the buyer really, really loves it. She’s made it very clear to the buyer that the estimates are for only the bare minimum for the house to pass FHA loan requirements. She said the paint is actually the easiest fix. The paint entry and stairway ceilings don’t need to be completely repainted, they just can’t been actively peeling. Someone might come by over the weekend to scrape the ceilings so they’re not all flaked, and get an appraiser in ASAP after.

Fingers crossed. 🤞
