It’s Friday, and we’re up. There’s news on TV, cats and coffee.

I’m pleased to say that after a little bit of trouble, I managed to fix my hashtag report card, and it works amazingly. While it’s not a side by side comparison, I can easily see how a tag is performing.

I’m already making changes when it comes to how I tag things. I’m reconsidering using #over40, because I feel like the most popular content with that tag is definitely more along the lines of a hot, polished milf/Stifler’s mom rather than my chaos goblin self. Shawshank suggested I try #over30, because it’s true, but #mature seems to be working ok.

For a long time, standard advice was to use 5-10 hashtags on any content going on the main feed of the FYP. Pick some that go with the content, and some to go with your overall account. In the image above, I can see the best and worst performing content that uses #over40. My best post is a clip of me on the floor smoking. My worst post is one of my dancing. I’m really trying to pick the most specific tags, rather than the more general things. If the folks searching for deflated knockers don’t see the knockers, they’re not going to watch. That hurts my overall engagement, dragging everything down.

In addition to not tagging with overly-broad hashtags, I’m trying to keep my tags limited to what’s up “front and center” in the promos. Most creators are saying they see about ~3s watch time on their promo content, so I’m not tagging things based on what might be seen after that point. These guys will scroll past to find the sure bet. Again, negative engagement hurts my bottom line.

I can’t wait to keep feeding this thing data.
