fabric and crafts and games oh my

Greetings, y’all. Welcome to the new week. I slept until some point after sunrise, dozing, waking up to music from Lord of the Rings or Skyrim. We’re supposed to see some rain today; there’s already been some, judging by the ground. The new plants can use it.

We enjoyed our lazy Sunday. I washed my hair before lunch, then took over the Switch controller for pretty much the whole day, opting to start up Assassin’s Creed II. Shawshank bought me the Ezio Collection for Christmas; I figured it was time to try something else now that at least one of us finished Breath of The Wild. The series definitely improved the controls over the years, because nothing feels intuitive in II compared to Black Flag (or even III to an extent). I’m still working through the tutorial-type early quests.

I spend a lot of time running around on rooftops.

Later in the afternoon, we went over to Shady Acres, as is tradition. We brought over a curtain I’d bought during our last visit to the secondhand shop, and his mom popped a layer of light-blocking fabric onto it for us. One of today’s projects is installing it in the kitchen. Pippin broke the window blinds, and Chaucer operates under the assumption that sunlight means he needs to sing the breakfast songs. We’re hoping the new curtain will keep him quiet for an extra hour or two.

She also gave me the pattern she used for my red genie pants. Between trying to finish my jacket and the inevitable pants projects, I guess I’ll have plenty of crafts this week.

Today is SLOTH DAY. Shawshank‘s going to make us some brunch later, but for now we’re just sitting on the couch watching Youtube.
