Hello, Saturday. It’s a sunny morning. Mom has the washer running already so we can hang clothes out to dry before the afternoon’s potential rain. She poked her head into my room before I woke up and stole my laundry basket. Apparently, this was quite confusing for the cats. I imagine they were on the bed with me, huddled together in anticipation while Mom shuffled down my hall in her flip-flops.
Sinking into the memory foam mattress topper.
We had one of those moments yesterday where the inadequacies of both of the laptops in the household are woefully fucking bad. I brought down two, and have mom the older one. Mine is at least 7 years old, which puts Mom’s at about 15. Neither machine was newer tech when we purchased them, they were both clearance models. Both of us had our respective laptops out to buy plane tickets. After 5 minutes of waiting for hers to load up a browser, we gave up used mine to reserve both of our trips. And even that was painfully slow at times. It struggles to load browsers and file managers.
Honestly, the only thing my laptop willingly does is boot up. A new one is looking more and more likely.
Oh, and did you catch that mention of my vacation? I’m heading to Saskatchewan for a month or so, spending the holidays with Shawshank. Yay! I’m hella nervous.
