Good morning, world. Welcome to another Saturday on the prairie, where the skies are clear and the air is cold and wants to kill you. I’ve been awake to some degree for a few hours, waking up early and then dozing until I gave in and looked at my phone.
I let my creative juices go nuts yesterday. After lunch, Shawshank went back to work and I played a little bit of Breath of The Wild. I didn’t play for very long, because I really wanted some spin time.
It’s not barefoot in the grass, but it’s flow nonetheless. It feels good to be moving, even if it is just in a small space in the living room. I fired up a TikTok live stream and ended up with about 2500 views in 20 minutes. I shut it down to troubleshoot shit (troubleshit?) when my music stream cut out. Once I straightened out the tunage, I went live again. The second stream went on for about 1:15, and garnered about 1200 views. Unfortunately, I can’t see what’s being said in the stream because
- I can’t see the comments as they scroll past because there’s a nonstop flow of “_________ has joined”
- I can’t look at the screen because my flailing requires constant awareness of my surroundings
Next time, I might try it with the screen mirroring on my laptop. The screen is bigger, and if I can position it right, I might actually be able to see the comments. I managed to catch one comment yesterday: “I keep waiting for her to hit that TV”. So is Shawshank.
We’re in Sloth Mode today. Shawshank‘s parents are heading to the big city on Monday and invited us to go along with them. We have enough in the house to make dinner tonight, we’ll go to Shady Acres for dinner tomorrow, and do the grocery shopping at Walmart on Monday.
