Good morning, world After a supremely restless night, I woke up to an overcast morning. Shawshank told me to stay in bed, closed the door, and I dozed off and on for another hour-ish. At some point, Shawshank let Chaucer into the bedroom and he snuggled on me.
I spent yesterday doing things to keep occupied while Shawshank worked. Most of those things involved doing makeup and watching Bob Ross. For shits and giggles, I took the second-most neglected flow prop out to play: the leviwand.
It’s way dancey-er than poi, and I’m not a graceful person, and I make it look very awkward. However, I also can admit that it looks a lot better than the last time I played with it.
After amending my costume requirements – warm and form-fitting – to include “has pockets” for my vape, I came up with a basic idea of what to wear for this weekend’s haunted house gig. The only stuff I needed were thermal shirts, and maybe some boots. Shawshank suggested we go to BiggerTown after work, as they have a secondhand store and a bakery we could check out.
The shop was great, and we picked up a few things for each of us. I found a thermal undershirt and a hoodie with an upper torso skeleton print. Unfortunately, the two pairs of UGGS that I found didn’t fit. The highlight of shopping was reaching into a basket that I thought was pet costumes, and pulled out a really awesome quality (human) catsuit.
Which I snagged for something ridiculous, like $4.
What made the catsuit just a great find was how I had literally been surfing Ali Express for Catwoman cosplays the day before. I manifested that shit.
Shawshank started laundry just after I made my way out of the bedroom this morning, and the quiet chores are pretty much done. It’s too windy outside to play in the yard, but it’s not as though next weekend’s spin time in front of a bar/haunted house needs a rehearsal. The only other thing on the schedule for today is dinner over at Shady Acres.
