Good morning, world. I woke up at some point and noticed the bed was empty. Shawshank had left for work; not only that, but I’d kicked the cats’ nest off the edge of the bed. I dozed until Podrick cleared a bookshelf, making a not insignificant amount of noise and quashing any thoughts of sleeping in.
Friday was nice. The roads out to Slightly BiggerTown were pretty clear, so the drive wasn’t really any longer than usual and I wasn’t freaking out. We walked through the grocery store and shopped on vibes, before crossing the parking lot to check out what the discount store had for Christmas clearance. Shawshank bought me a 100ft of Christmas lights, prompting a walk next door to buy some little wall hooks.
We spent the rest of the day doing our own things. I watched a couple of game reviews while Shawshank played Red Dead Redemption. We had dinner, watched some shows, and capped off the night with a shower. How exciting.
I’m doing what I can to improve my streams. The Christmas lights are a start, we’ll string them up around the ceiling next week. The thing that needs the most improvement is my upload speed. At the moment, everything is running over wifi. To say the stream is sloppy would be an understatement. I ordered 50ft of Ethernet cable and an adapter so I can plug my phone or laptop directly into our internet. If I can see improvement with a one-time $40 purchase instead of a more expensive monthly internet bill, all the better.
He’s working both days this weekend: half of today, and all day tomorrow. I think I’ll do nothing today, and spend tomorrow being entertaining.
