Unsettled Start to a Monday

Oh look, it’s Monday. It’s raining, and gray, and looks pretty grim outside. It sucks for the moment.

I managed to actually accomplish a little bit of stuff yesterday. It wasn’t a lot, but it was something. I went through the drawers and a couple of cabinets in the kitchen. Some things were boxed for my mom, some wrapped and saved for me. I boxed the remaining things and will put it on the curb tonight.

I also emptied out the makeup tool chest. That sucked. Most of the eyeshadows made the cut. Most of the lipsticks did not.

I told Shawshank I wanted to buy an axe, or even just a small hatchet, and just destroy everything left in the house. He told me that was probably not the best plan.

I’ve been giving a lot of thought to how I plan to handle my escape. Right now, I think my best bet would be to simultaneously put the house on the market, put my notice in at work, and arrange for a junk pickup. Regardless of whether the house is sold, I would head south. We’d just have to deal with things long-distance. I could schedule the junk pickup for the same time I’m supposed to leave work. This way, I can have them haul out the furniture and mattresses at the very last minute. I would have to spend a couple of nights sleeping on the living room floor, which would be fine.

I’m not sure who I’ll be working with today. From what I can remember of last week, I think StressedRPh is working every day, but I believe it’s mostly split shifts with other pharmacists. Capt. Useless will be in for at least one of those days, and StressedRPh wants to ream him out.

Maybe I’ll call my mom tonight.
