Ugh. I was so hopeful that yesterday wouldn’t suck. It’s the middle of the month, we had all of Tuesday’s work done on Monday, there was no reason for it to be as bad as it was. But it was awful. It’s been worse, but it was pretty sucky.
On the other hand, I’ll have an extra 45 minutes in my paycheck for yesterday. I stayed a little late and couldn’t take lunch.
I came home, made myself what I’ve been calling “trash bowl”: a box of Kraft dinner with chicken nuggets, extra cheese, and Buffalo sauce. Then I hauled three boxes of miscellaneous stuff outside, along with a giant bag of random trash, in addition to the regular trash.
My mother spent Monday night telling me all about how Hurricane Sally was going to be absolutely nothing. This morning, she’s posting on Facebook about how awful things are in Pensacola.
Is that the area she lives? the coasts get the worst of it ..I’m in central Florida ( Disney) of all the hurricanes that were supposed to hit my area in the past 10 years only one actually came with some strength ..It was only a cat 2 .. but took most of the shingles off my roof .. but 90 % of the time we prepare and only end up with some rain ..
She’s about 10 miles from the Alabama border, and a couple of miles from the coast. Right now she says she doesn’t have power, which has also cut off the most of the water in the area. And her backyard is full of branches.
She’s a bit ridiculous about this, because in one breath she’s telling me “it’s going to be nothing” but in the next is telling me about how someone ought to check on my step-dad’s uncle and make sure he’s prepared.
