This couch is comfy and I don’t want to get up.

Good morning, welcome to Thursday. You see that, over there? That’s the weekend. It’s coming.

I went into work early yesterday. It was only 25 minutes. I didn’t shit on her car.

When I arrived, there were about 53 scripts waiting to be filled. At 10:08 am, over an hour after we opened, I was finally able to actually count something. DayTech came in early, at that point we had 62 scripts to fill. StressedRPh left at around 2 pm, and Matryoshka kicked shit into gear. We managed to bring the total down to about 10 scripts when I left, and I’m sure they were able to finish them before day’s end. Today and tomorrow might actually be tolerable shifts.

Unfortunately, I had to deal with an asshole towards the end of yesterday’s shift. A guy called to scream at me because we didn’t fill his son’s Adderall yesterday. Why not? Because they were a month early. He’s yelling because the meds were left in Florida, his son has been without for two weeks, and he just can’t handle this kid anymore. Now it’s nearly 5 pm, the doctor’s office closes in 15 minutes, and WE NEED TO FIX THIS SHIT. At first glance, it looks like it should be fine to fill. Unfortunately, the kid gets a 60-day script filled at a time, so he didn’t lose two weeks, he lost six weeks. The insurance won’t give an override for a lost medication because it’s a controlled substance.

Oh, and the doctor’s office didn’t even know they were giving him two months at a time.

I’m not sure what the final outcome was. I left before they had a resolution. The only thing I cared about at 5 pm was going home and making a dinner that involved an enormous bowl of roasted chicken and Brussels spouts. I dragged more trash out, and had a backyard spin session. It wasn’t a bad night.

I’m not sure who will be there with me today. It’s a late shift, and I’ll do a nice little workout before I head in. I don’t have any auctions to ship out today.

And with a little luck, my poi will be here on Saturday.
