Good morning, y’all. I couldn’t tell you what this morning has been like. While I woke up several times, I refused to take the mask off. Consequently, I’ve had no concept of time. I heard the toilet flush, but that only confused me. I never felt Shawshank get up, so did he fall asleep in the bathroom because he was in there so long or did I just miss him leaving bed? Brains are weird. Either way, we have an entire long weekend ahead of us, and it’s starting off with sunshine. Both cats already have their window seats.
The only thing I really remember was having a terrible dream, in which I pulled a softball-sized tangle of hair out from between my extensions.
I don’t remember how this enormous hair clot came about. In the dream, I’m pretty sure I was doing one of the multiple daily loc rearrangements. Suddenly, BAM, handful of hair. It resembled a tribble with a perm.
Shawshank came home in the afternoon with his Mom‘s truck, and we headed out to do the grocery shopping for the next week-ish. Both drives were mostly gray. The rain wasn’t too bad on the way out, but had pretty much stopped during the ride home. Then it came back. Fortunately, it stopped at some point overnight. I soaked in the tub, enjoying my weekly bubble bath treat.
Today starts the holiday weekend. Shawshank is going over to Shady Acres for a couple of hours to work on the truck. I’m staying home, where I’ll start working on my glowworm hair. Aside from his trip out today and dinner tomorrow, we don’t plan on leaving the house again.
