Hello, y’all. Happy Sunday. The sun is, in fact, out this morning. The coffee is just the right temp, but it’s still slow to kick in.
Saturday was as Saturday as they come. We slept in a little, and eventually I took on my human form and we went shopping in Slightly BiggerTown. We made our way around the plaza: groceries, the dollar store, the other discount store, finishing with a walk through the pharmacy. Shawshank is working night shifts for the next week, and the freezer has been freshly stocked with chicken nuggets, fries, and frozen dinners. Our only impulse buy was a pair of cat toys. We finished up with a quick trip to the dispo, then a stop to grab lunch before leaving town.
We spent most of the afternoon playing games. Shawshank showed me a little bit of one of the bigger quest spots in Tears of The Kingdom, so I have an idea of what I’m going into. Shawshank fixed us a feast of appetizers for dinner, so we stuffed ourselves full of preformed chicken bits, mozzarella sticks, and puffed pastry stuffed with mysterious fillings. We settled in for the night with a movie, deciding on “The Retirement Plan” because Nic Cage is never a bad choice, even in a bad movie. Not that it was a bad movie, it was entertaining as hell.
Since today is Sunday, the laundry is going and brunch will be had. We’ll be heading out later today for the weekly family dinner. I’m thinking about bringing the Switch over to Shady Acres to give Tears of The Kingdom some love this afternoon. The new game comes out next week.
