Hello, world. It’s fucking Monday, and we’re starting the week off on all the wrong feet this morning.
We had a normal Sunday. Shawshank made brunch and handled laundry. I snagged “Monster Sanctuary” for a whopping $2. Later, Dekudeals sent an email to let me know “Red Dead Redemption” was on sale for $25. Shawshank suggested snagging it, and offered to clear space on the Switch’s memory card. I let him clear space, thinking “it’s on sale for a while, I’ll wait until the end of my pay period”. Since the pay period ends today, I pulled the trigger on that one as well.
I played “Monster Sanctuary” all fucking afternoon and evening. It’s adorable. I didn’t come of age during the rise of Pokemon, I have no experience with the monster collecting genre. I also hate platformers, which is why “Hollow Knight” sits unfinished and (mostly) untouched. The game is a little of both. Shawshank has been naming all of the monsters I hatch.
This is going to be a long week. He’s working five nights straight, so I’ll be working five nights straight. I’m having a hard time getting more than five hours per stream. I’ll set up, but have trouble picking outfits and then get started too late.
