Good morning, everyone. It’s Monday. I have a cup of tea, which is doing nothing to wake me up but it’s routine and routine is good. Mal is having a very loud, one-sided conversation with dining room table again.
Yesterday was another relaxing day. Except for furniture, most of everything is out of the house now. It’s simply a matter of keeping it clean rather than just going insane trying to do everything at once. I did the laundry, then cooked up a pound of bacon, followed by a couple of pounds chicken breast in a bit of the bacon grease. While all this was going on, I had my head covered in purple dye.
Aside from the minor chores, it was definitely a day to do nothing. I finished up The Queen’s Gambit on Netflix and Tales From the Loop on Amazon, and watched the first episode of Amazon’s Utopia. If it wasn’t for the dye, I probably would have napped. However, it was good to finish some of what I’d been watching.
We can expect some pretty nasty weather today according to the local forecast. The sky is pretty bleak and overcast at the moment. By lunchtime, we’ll have torrential rain. The high winds will come later in the afternoon. I’m hoping for a power outage at work.
There are two house showings this afternoon. I need to do some last minute tidying before I leave the house. With today’s shitty weather, I don’t expect to have a lot of traffic through the house. One of the last groups to walk through was “somewhat interested” in the house, but thinks the price is too high.
I just have to keep telling myself, “it’s only been a week, don’t expect a miracle”.
I’m not sure who will be the pharmacist today. With any luck, it will be a split shift with some pharmacist overlap, because today is gonna suck. It’s pharmacy law.
