I only managed to go through 75% of my box of tissues during my shift yesterday. Unfortunately, I’m still feeling like absolute and utter shit. If Monday’s theme was “why won’t my face stop leaking” and yesterday was “I swear I had nasal passages”, then today, as Wednesday and day 3 of my cold, must be the stage I’ve horrifyingly named “OMGWTF HOW MUCH SNOT CAN THE HUMAN BODY PRODUCE?” I was excited at the prospect of having a awesome cheesy chicken melt on naan for dinner last night, but I wanted to too be able to enjoy it. Since I can’t really taste anything right now, I made my idea of comfort food when I’m sick: oatmeal with apple pie filling on top, and a couple of English muffins.
Plans for today are… Nothing. I’m going to go to work and do my best to not eat everything in sight like I did yesterday. I miss doing my workouts, but I’ve learned I can’t do then while I’m sick, otherwise I still feel like shit, just with the added feeling that my workout sucked. Just gotta get through this, and I’ll do my workout when my body says I can.
