Hello, my friends. We’re over the hump and now we have this shit: Thursday. There’s no laundry left to do, and only a handful of shit on the shopping list that isn’t immediately needed in the first place. I’m sipping a coffee, Mom‘s outside having a cigarette. Brian’s at a safety meeting, where they will all be given a personal first aid kit for their vehicles and a certificate that says they went to a safety meeting.
Everything is all weird and I don’t know what the plan is today.
I did some painting yesterday. It’s getting more difficult to stay out in the afternoons. I can usually get a couple of hours out there. However, the days are getting shorter and I’m spending more time dealing with shadows across the paper earlier in the afternoon. Unfortunately, I have nothing to show for it. for the most part, I was working on a Christmas present for someone. This person is tech saavy enough to find this blog if they made the effort, and I don’t want to take the chance of ruining the surprise.
The first bill from the ER showed up this week. It was the radiology bill, for the CT scan, and was the one I was most worried about. I had visions of being charged $8000 for my minute-long trip into the giant front-loader washing machine. Nope. $293. Still crazy, but way better. Now I can devote my energy to worrying about the rest of the bill.
Have a good morning, internet people. Let’s go be human.
