Hey, it’s morning again. How ’bout that. I’ve been up since 5:something. I scrolled around Reddit and TikTok while navigating the tangle of cats and legs in the bed.
We made it through lazy day #1. I put on clothes and makeup. Shawshank went up to the little grocery store in town for brunch stuff, and made us some grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch. After lunch, he played No Man’s Sky; I edited video clips and looked through various social media until my brain blue-screened. I pulled up my fluffy blanket, made space for Chaucer, and napped for a couple of hours.
Yesterday was also Date Night. We made it there in time to beat the rush. The biggest table in the restaurant had a “RESERVED” sign on it when we arrived; 6 or 7 people showed up shortly after we ordered. Shawshank received extra bacon and eggs. Then we spent the rest of the night playing No Man’s Sky, and watching “Asteroid City” and TikTok.
Today, lazy day #2, won’t be much different. We’re going out to Shady Acres for dinner, but aside from that, it’s all the same.
