On the Market

Hey, you’re wake. It’s Tuesday. I’ve somehow lost one of my silicone plugs from an earlobe overnight, it it looks like I might be hitting the local Hot Topic before work. That’s ok, since I have to be out of the house early today.

The stress has started. The agent sent us an email yesterday to let us know the house was live and on the market. I texted my mother at 10:30am. She wished me luck. At 12:30pm, the first request for a showing came in. By the time I left work at 5pm, we had six showings scheduled for either last night or today. Thankfully, I don’t need to be here for them. I came home last night, and cooked myself a roast beef melt on naan. By the time I was done, it was just about time for the first showing, and I chilled in the parking lot of the convenience store up the street for 20 minutes.

There’s 5 showings today. Right now, there’s two scheduled back to back this morning, right about the time I’d normally leave for work. We have a cluster of three more slated for later in the day. Honestly, I didn’t expect anything like this. The house isn’t anything amazing. The agent asked if I was overwhelmed yet. I’m ok. I think I’d be a lot worse if I had to deal with these people myself.

In addition to the showings and all of that, I have to take the truck up for its oil change.

Oh, and I guess I should officially put in my notice at work.

I guess since my teacup is empty, I should start the day. Let’s get busy.
