not even a breast to be found

Good morning, world. We’re up. I’ve been up for a bit. I woke up this morning with the realization that I didn’t update the online prices for Shawshank‘s old shop. I spent half the time I was awake debating whether or not to get up and make the changes right then, or wait until the alarm. Eventually, I decided it didn’t matter if I started shit at 6:11am or 7am. No one will fucking see it but the boss, anyway.

Yesterday was a nice day. We headed out shortly after I was dressed. Our plan was to finish the shopping and be on our way home around lunchtime. The first stop was to the secondhand shop. I found some leggings and satin pajama shorts, and Shawshank found some Christmas ornaments. They had Pyrex, but it was more than what I wanted to pay and wasn’t a pattern I really like. We made our way to the grocery store, but they didn’t have any of the Thanksgiving fixings we wanted. The discount store didn’t have anything we needed, either, so we moved on and went for lunch at a restaurant in town before heading home.

The chicken tenders are disappointing in a way I can’t quite put my finger on.

We made it back to TinyTown just in time to stop in at the secondhand store here. I found more junk: a dress and a sweater. Some days you strike pay dirt, and others you don’t. Yesterday was one of those no dirt days.

We spent the rest of the day taking turns with the Switch, playing Divinity. Shawshank‘s chief complaint about the game is the viewing angle. I’ve actually found that aspect fun because it forces me to concentrate on what’s in my immediate area. In Skyrim or Breath of The Wild and Tears of The Kingdom, you can see huge swaths of landscape. The draw distances are wild. Divinity has one 3rd-person POV and it’s overhead. I love how I can be doing something in one spot and walk to “the edge” of the screen, and suddenly something new pops up, like a cave entrance or doorway. It reminds me of uncovering the minimap in other games.

Today will be more of the same. I’ll probably fire up Skyrim, reload a save, then stream for a bit. There’s a lot of games on sale right now, and I don’t want to pay for them myself.
