Hello, world. Good morning, and happy fuggin Thursday. I woke up at my normal time after a crap sleep. I had trouble getting to sleep because I got a bit “tweaky” and went into spiral/panic mode for a bit. The fog is still kicking around this morning, but the skies aren’t as overcast; it’s better than yesterday, where we woke up chilly and foggy. The air temp warmed up slightly but the humidity worsened. Everything soft in the house felt like it was made of damp towels. Today will be similar, but perhaps a little brighter.

I was pants-productive yesterday, and put the current shop inventory on sale and elastic into another four pairs of pants. FOUR. Four waistbands, six ankle cuffs, and one top-stitched pain in the fucking ass. I accidentally forgot to leave openings for elastic in one pair’s ankle cuffs. I thought they’d be ok but I don’t like the way they look (on me). Since I need to finish top-stitching one more cuff anyway, I’ll probably open the seams up and run some elastic through them.

Later, I sewed up the sides of two more pairs made using some white tablecloths. Both have some light staining in small spots- entirely to be expected when you buy yard sale shit from people who regularly have produce tables at the local markets. I’m planning to experiment a little and tie dye them. That’s an upcharge in the shop, naturally.

At this point, there’s roughly eight pairs of pants ready to add to Etsy once I can take pics of them. If the sun sticks around today, I can finally take indoor pics. After this week’s weather, the ground is still too wet to shoot on the grass. If the weather cooperates today, I’m hopeful that shit will dry out. And if tomorrow and the weekend are nice enough, we can take outdoor photos.

The rest of yesterday was pretty uneventful, as usual. A tornado warning popped up during my regularly scheduled spin time. My phone displayed the alert, which I swiped away in a purely Florida manner. Literally every alert I’ve seen since my arrival has been for areas hours away from us. As it turned out, the warnings were for BiggerTown, about 35 minutes away.

I’ll work on the tablecloth pants this morning, then set up the backdrop for photos of the finished pile. Shawshank is bringing hot dogs home for dinner. Since the weather is warmer, I should be able to enjoy some afternoon spin time in a scantily-clad TikTok stream. I’m also kinda in the mood for a workout, oddly enough, but that probably won’t be in the stream.
