I looked at my budget tonight. It’s what I do every two weeks, on pay day. I’m in an ok spot at the moment. My projected total is only about $75 less than what my spreadsheet predicted. I think most of that is due to the expenses of the new battery in the truck, the lawn mowed, and not factoring in Shawshank‘s commissary or the occasional Amazon and Shutterfly gift. There was also an extra charge for his cell old cell phone this month, because I didn’t properly turn off the automatic payment last month.
On a positive note, gas prices are pretty damned lowI didn’t need to shop for food last week, and I received a rebate on the car insurance. All that helped keep things in check. I made an extra payment on my credit card as well.
Someone messaged me on Facebook to inquire about the bin of yarn. A youngish guy picked it up shortly after I got home. He said “I just want to check it out” and opened the bin. “I’ve gotten really into making amigurumi since I’ve been stuck at home.”
“Then you’ve hit the jack pot, my man,” I replied. “There’s at least four ami diagram books in there, and three were direct from Japan.” Easy $50 in the bucket.
I can hear someone picking through my trash right now. Earlier tonight, I put out a large bag of random trash from the basement and around the first floor. I’m pretty sure the noise means someone took the two large display fixtures I took when our store remodeled 5 years ago. There was also a box of kitchen gadgets, and the vacuum. The vacuum included a sign that said “BROKEN! IT WILL SET YOUR HOUSE ON FIRE!”
I’m sure someone will set a house on fire this weekend.
Can it be mine?
