Hello, my lovely bitches. The weekend is here. I have coffee for the first time since Thursday, and my body is loving it. Unfortunately, it’s also making my attention span very, very scattered.
We did stuff yesterday. Mom‘s appointment didn’t take very long, but she says she’ll never do that test again. Clouds started moving into the area while we drove home from the hospital. We could hear thunder by the time we arrived home, and the storm pushed through shortly thereafter. We spent the rest of the day lounging in the house.
Brian’s visiting friend backed out of dinner last night. We were supposed to meet up for dinner and drinks last night. Unfortunately, the friend had to cut his trip short because of bad weather back home, and dinner was cancelled. Mom and I happily accepted this change of plans, knowing it meant we could go to the Chinese buffet.
Today is already damned hot outside, so I don’t expect to be hanging outside much. On top of the heat, we should expect some thunderstorms in the second half of the day. We’ll go out and do the weekly shopping, and I’ll see if there’s anything else I need to put into Shawshank‘s goody box before I send it up next week.
And then I think I’ll do nothing but explore and kill things in a handheld fantasy world. Between hot weather and wet weather, I don’t expect to go outside much, if at all today.
