Good Shit

Greetings and salutations, my friends. Happy Thursday.

As expected, yesterday’s shift was incredibly slow. I ended up leaving over an hour early. I’m predicting today will be a little busier. The heat has broken for the day, and while it’s rainy, it’s supposed to be obnoxiously hot Friday through the weekend, and I think more people will use today to get their business done.

The morning’s yoga was one of those super easy sessions. Lots of focus on breathing, which can either be really relaxing or totally stressful. Honestly, I’m still not sure which end of the spectrum this practice fell on. Being mindful of thoughts and breathing can be awesome if I’m already in a good state of mind, but can make things worse if I’m not in a good place. I was not in that good place yesterday. This morning, I’m in a spot halfway between finding what feels good and setting my world on fire, and I’m hoping the scales tilt more towards the good shit.
