games and driving and fingernails

Good morning, y’all. We’re recovering from our trip out into the world yesterday.

It was a lovely day for a mini road trip. The weather was perfect- as perfect as cow country can get at this time of year. The skies were clear, it wasn’t too cold, and there was no breeze at all. Any time we can go out with great driving conditions is fine with me. The nice weather means less things for me to be anxious about. I like to keep a mental tally of all the animals I see along the way (not including livestock in fields). We didn’t see anything unusual, aside from a dead cow beside a busted pickup truck. I’m not sure if the two were related.

We finished up our outside activities with a quick stop at the town’s winter craft fair. There weren’t as many tables compared to last year. On the other hand, they had a lot less MLM companies this year. I think we spent most of the time looking at what the town library had up for sale. Regardless, we didn’t find anything that spoke to us, so we headed back home.

Shawshank played No Man’s Sky all afternoon while I painted my nails. He’s chasing down new ships and doing pirate things. I played some Disco Elysium after dinner. It’s slow, and I made almost no headway in what I’m doing. I would have loaded up Skyrim, but I’m in the middle of a puzzle and frustrated because I think I missed something. I’m at the point where I’m going to find a guide because I don’t want to waste any more brainpower. I’ve finished it without it once before, but I’m a little stuck this time around. I simply don’t care how I solve the puzzle, I don’t want to be in the fucking ruins anymore.

Today, I’m going to assume a human form and paint my nails again. I won’t fuck with them. Shawshank is switching loads between washer and dryer, floor to washer. Later this afternoon, we’ll go out to Shady Acres for the weekly visit and dinner.
