Greetings and salutations. I bid you bitches a hearty “hello”. It’s a miserably gray day here. It should clear up later, but it’s going to be crappy weather for the rest of the week.
We’re only waiting for one more repair job, and that’s the vinyl siding. I haven’t heard anything about whether or not I should expect someone to come by today. Honestly, I really doubt it. It’s pouring right now. The temps are still hovering right at freezing, and everything keeps melting and then refreezing again.
I can’t imagine the buyer paying one of her friends to climb up the side of the house in a downpour. Maybe she’ll send her fiance over again. Maybe she’ll try yet again to get us to pay for repairs we’ve already credited her for by lowering the price $2000.
Seriously, they tried to pull that shit on our agent again. The lender won’t allow us to payout for repairs from closing funds. Since she didn’t intend to have to pay for repairs before closing, she doesn’t have the money. According to our agent, the oil tank removal was a combined payout from the buyer, her agent, and the person handling the mortgage preparation. Then they tried to get us to help out with the costs again. DAMN IT, JOAN, THAT’S WHY WE LOWERED THE PRICE, TO CREDIT YOU FOR THE REPAIRS. YOU DON’T GET TO DOUBLE-DIP THE REPAIR COSTS. The buyer’s agent actually showed up while the guys were removing the oil tank to pay them.
I have some minor adulting to do today, as well as a workout. I think I’ll make it a human day even though I don’t need to, and maybe leave the house for a little while.
