But I don’t want to move my body off this bedlikething.

Greetings and salutations, my lovelies. Welcome to Wednesday. It’s all downhill from here until the weekend.

Yesterday’s “focus group” was every bit as ridiculous as I expected it to be. Our district manager brought four of us into the back to write out a couple of talking points each about what works for us and what needs improvement. DayTech had hoped I would bring up the possibility of upgrading the way we organize completed orders for pickup. I went all in and said “we needed more training with proper workflow”. When it’s only one tech and one pharmacist, the tech does everything and the pharmacist does nothing to help. We’re running from one end of the pharmacy to the other to handle incoming calls, filling scripts, data entry, drop off, and pickup. This goes against the way the company wants things done. I said everything I could without flat out saying “StressedRPh doesn’t help us”.

For what it’s worth, the DM picked up on what I was saying. She said “if you techs are running back and forth across the pharmacy, then workflow isn’t being used properly and that may mean there needs to be some retraining from me and [store manager]”. I’d love to be there for that conversation.

Also, the DM brought candy.

Today is our flu clinic at a local business. Normally, we’d have most of the work involved already done. I’d like to go into this with a positive outlook. Unfortunately, with most aspects of work, I won’t get my hopes up. The process has been changed so much. Additionally, the employee we’ve worked with at the local business retired. The first guy was a massive help while his replacement has been anything but helpful. The second half the clinic actually starts after the pharmacy has closed, which might be the only good aspect of this. We’ll be able to process things in peace.

Last night, Shawshank asked what I had planned for tonight’s dinner. “It depends on how bad the day goes”, I told him. Since I wont be home until at least 8:30pm, it will be something fast. The last thing I’ll want to do when I come home is bust out the pans and actually cook something.

Aside from the terrible flu clinic and the quick dinner, I should probably go upstairs and do a workout. I really want to go back to sleep.
