Don’t Say It’s Over

Welp, that weekend was way too short. They all are, but they feel moreso when we’re having a good time.

We spent Saturday shopping, and all day yesterday assembling and painting. So far, neither of us has glued our fingers together, or to anything else for that matter. I’ll take that as a win. He’s been watching the same painting tutorial all weekend because it has to be just right. Last night, he did the first and more difficult part of painting. However, he told me later that he’ll just so the rest as assembly line, color by color.

On the other hand, I’m mixing custom colors. I realized that I really should build the second set of minis so I can paint them all at the same time. The airbrush makes the basecoating a breeze. I had concerns about doing it with the airbrush. First, I was afraid my good air compressor was gone, as I’d offered it to an uncle at one point. Then, I wasn’t sure if I could find either of my airbrushes. Both of the compressors and airbrushes were found, and the airbrush got upgraded anyway.

But, the weekend is over. Today is a StressedRPh shift, for at least the first half of the day. I have a suspicion she’s going to be a total bitch to work with. Fortunately, DayTech will be there. Together, we can bitch about the fill-in pharmacist we had on Friday.

It’s my birthday week, and I picked the dinner menu. I have to wait until Friday for a special birthday dinner, because I have blood test the next day and have to fast beforehand. He’s promised me a birthday dinner on Friday, and we’ll be getting my favorite Chinese food.

Let’s get the pants on and the week started. Happy Monday.
