Dog Days

Dog Days

Good morning, Monday! ☕ It’s a sunny day, but it’s terribly muggy already. They predict another heatwave this week; this would be the third so far this summer. Unfortunately, the humidity should only get worse. Soupy, that’s the word they use. It’s gross. At this point, I’ve added “air you can wear” to my list of phrases I can’t stand, right up there with “5:30 am comes pretty early”.

Oh, and “dog days of summer”, which they’ve just said twice in three minutes.

The weekend wasn’t too bad. I GOT SHIT DONE. I had a good workout, and I was able to find some time to spin poi in the backyard. Even better, people from Facebook Marketplace actually showed up. That’s a cool $150 in the money bucket. The eBay auctions have people watching, which is awesome. Due to trash storage limitations, I didn’t do as much cleaning as I wanted, but I’ll bring the storage cubes downstairs tonight. There’s only few larger boxes in the basement, but I’m leaving them in there until right before I take everything outside. They’re disintegrating with age and moisture, and I don’t want to deal with potentially moldy cardboard in the dining room.

Once again, I’m not sure who will be at work today. DayTech and agree that the district scheduler sucks, we never know who will be there with us. I’m pretty sure it’s StressedRPh today. Today is probably one of the most confusing days for us. It’s Victory Day, but Rhode Island is the only state that celebrates it. Since it’s only a state holiday, state offices are closed but small businesses can do whatever. I’m sure half the doctors’ offices we deal with will be closed. Tomorrow will be iffy, to say the least.

Today, however, is a new week. Let’s start it.
