Good morning, y’all, and TGIF. The skies are a little cloudy, but the sun is still out there. As I should have expected, yesterday’s excitement about “sleeping in” was short-lived. Once again, I was up an hour before the alarm went off 😪 However, Chaucer snuggled me, which made up for it 😻
The heat wasn’t as bad yesterday. The cats were still miserable, of course, as expected. Unlike Wednesday, though, there seemed to be more of a breeze and less humidity. In the morning, I worked on a pair of pants I started earlier this week. They’re made from a plain, light gray cotton, probably the back panel of a duvet. I thought the gray needed a bit of something extra, and added a waistband and cuffs made from some leftover vintage yellow floral. I was right, because they look great.
After lunch, I took some more catalog pics. Three of the four – everything but the gray satin – I’ll probably list on Etsy later this morning. Once I wash the satin and see if the mark comes out, I’ll decide what to do with that particular pair. I also made an absolutely kickass (for me anyway, considering my video editing skills) promo for this particular shop drop.
I did my regular afternoon Tiktok stream. It started off as poi and very quickly devolved into my simply sitting and bouncing to the musicbullshitting with people in chat.
Since today is Friday, it’s Date Night. I’m going to wash my hair in the sink, then take a morning shower while the robot cleans the floor. Everything that happens in between will probably be embarrassing to my family.
