cat snuggles and space marines

Good morning, my friends, and happy Thursday. Wednesday PLUS+, as a Discord friend just called it. The skies are overcast and we can hear the wind outside. While yesterday’s sunrise was pretty and the temps weren’t too bad, I don’t think today will be one for going outside. Pippin has already staked a claim on Shawshank‘s legs, and Chaucer is attempting to finagle his way in between the two of us.

We both had early mornings. He was up around 6am; I made it to 5:30am at the latest. Chaucer woke me up early. Pippin snuggled Shawshank, then snuggled me, then slept on both of us. Chaucer came up later, walking across us, letting us know he was awake and his food bowl was low.

Typical morning.

I spent yesterday afternoon dusting the top shelf of Warhammer minis. One by one, I took everyone down and brushed them off with a soft paintbrush. This let me examine every mini and see what, if anything, needed to be finished or touched up. My Chaos Space Marines look mostly finished. They look good, except for a few things I’ll probably fix and finish on them. Eventually, I’ll finish painting Shawshank‘s Sororitas for him, as he doesn’t like painting the tiny, fiddly bits. Several bases also need to be finished.

Today, I’ll work on the second shelf, which has the majority of the unfinished minis. That particular shelf is almost entirely primed figures and finished bases. I think most of the minis are already glued onto their bases, so Shawshank can paint them at will. Based or not, everything is getting inspected and dusted. I’ll sort their shit, since I can’t seem to sort mine.
