Good morning, my friends. I’m awake-ish. It’s Canada day. Shawshank emailed me something to post about it. Normally we’d have the Canadian flag on our flag pole. I won’t bother with it; it’s supposed to be rainy and windy all day. The last thing I want to do when I come home is wrestle a wet flag off the side of the house.
Yesterday was better than Monday. There was enough work to keep us busy, but not overwhelm us. I’m nearly positive, however, that I probably didn’t do something properly. I don’t know what that something is, but I’ll hear all about it from StressedRPh this morning. I haven’t worked an actual closing shift in probably about five years. There’s been a few shifts where I left an hour or so before the pharmacy closed but actual closing? Very few and far between.
She came to me yesterday and asked about weekly returns. The DM emailed her about how we don’t return overstock things every week like we’re supposed to. First and foremost, we weren’t told these weekly returns were mandatory when we went through the system overhaul last November. They told us we’d get a suggested return every Wednesday, and we could only return items that were on the list. Simply delete the things we don’t want to return. No one told us we needed to address these claims regardless of whether or not we planned to return anything.
Second, with what time are were supposed to process these returns? We didn’t have the time to do it before they cut hours. Now, when are we supposed to find the time when we’ve just lost 18 hours from our schedule? We have overlap pharmacist shifts for most of this week.
Maybe I can do it today.
Probably not.
I need more coffee, and to find my scrubs. I expect traffic will suck, and I should get the ball rolling on today.
