Pre-Turkey

Happy Wednesday, my friends.

We did some of the Thanksgiving prep last night, baking cornbread for stuffing, boiling cranberries, and applying the brine to the turkey. Tonight, the rest of the pre-prep gets done: actually making the stuffing and baking an apple pie. This frees up most of the oven for tomorrow, when we’ll just need to roast the two turkey breasts, my sweet potatoes, and the Brussels sprouts.

BossRPh invited the pharmacy mentor folks to her house for Thanksgiving. I had given some thought to doing the same, but that would require a lot more tidying up than I want to do. Knowing our situation with my family, she asked what we had planned, and invited us over as well if we wanted the family experience.

“I think we’re good,” I told her.

And I think we are.
