The apocalypse is cancelled due to rain.

Hey, y’all. We’ve finally hit Friday. This morning’s weather sucks, and the forecast claims this will be an all day affair. I’m awake, and drinking coffee, and hoping it actually does something to me. This is the first coffee since Monday, when I managed to drink only half a mug.

I’m still feeling damp. It’s ridiculous. The humidity is in the house and I just want to find the perfect amount of clothing to wear that will keep me both cool and covered enough to keep my discomfort from any typical airflow at bay. Last night was the most comfortable sleep since Saturday. I was on top of the blankets, in fleecy pants and a tank top, with a travel blanket. I’ve also started listening to the progressive relaxation videos again, which might be more helpful if I could get past the fact I’m not in my favorite sleeping position. Shit was better, and I might tweak things a little more tonight and see if I can get a proper sleep again.

The sky is darker than it was when I first started typing.

Yesterday, Mom went out with her friend, going with her to a doctor’s appointment in case she felt too bad to drive home. I watched a bit of Umbrella Academy on Netflix, then got word that there was a press conference that I wanted to watch. After that, I spent a good part of the afternoon reading news and watching news and hating what this world has become. I played a good deal of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen later in the day, then I finished Umbrella Academy after dinner.

The skies have opened up. There goes any idea of outdoor activities. I haven’t had any spin time since Sunday, and I don’t even remember if I went out that night. Mentally, I really would like to have a night out that’s really good. It’s been a while. Too long.

This being Friday, we might go to the buffet. I might throw a load of my own clothes in the wash later, who knows? I don’t have anything to do today. It’s not like I’m a functioning member of society.
